Large artillery telescope made in 1916 on the optical and mechanical production in Petrograd, as evidenced by the inscriptions on the lower part of the body. Structurally, it is an optical instrument consisting of two periscopes, which are joined together at the eyepieces and spread apart the lens and holder, limb and tripod. The eyepieces are painted in the colors of khaki and perfectly preserved original paint. Optics are fully functional. Rarity is also a well-preserved wooden tripod with original leather carrying strap. Such pipes were made by order of the Chief Artillery Directorate and was intended to observe from behind cover at the enemy, exploding shells when firing, to explore the terrain and other military needs.Good preservation.Rare.The original.
